Doughnut-Shaped and Top Hat Solar Laser Beams Numerical Analysis

چکیده
Aside from the industry-standard Gaussian intensity profile, top hat and non-conventional laser beam shapes, such as doughnut-shaped are ever more required. The profile is well-known for uniformly irradiating target material, significantly reducing heat-affected zones, typical of irradiation, whereas has attracted much interest its use in trapping particles at nanoscale improving mechanical performance during laser-based 3D metal printing. Solar-pumped lasers can be a cost-effective sustainable alternative to accomplish these useful distributions. sunlight was collected concentrated by six primary Fresnel lenses, folding mirror collectors, further compressed with secondary fused silica concentrators, symmetrically distributed twisted light guides around 5.5 mm diameter, 35 length Nd:YAG rod inside cylindrical cavity. A (Mx2 = 1.25, My2 1.00) computed through both ZEMAX® LASCAD® analysis, 9.4 W/m2 TEM00 mode power collection 0.99% solar-to-TEM00 conversion efficiencies. By using 5.8 solar 1.90, observed. 9.8 1.03% efficiencies were also attained, corresponding an increase 2.2 1.9 times, respectively, compared state-of-the-art experimental records. As far we know, first numerical simulation profiles reported here, contributing understanding formation profiles.

Annular shaped laser-accelerated proton beams
Since their discovery in 1999 [1] the topic of laseraccelerated ions has attracted high attention both in the field of plasma-physics and in the accelerator community. In a typical laser-accelerated ion scheme a thin metal foil is irradiated by an ultra-intense chirped pulse amplified laser beam which leads to the generation of relativistic electrons. These electrons are accelerated through the...
متن کاملERRATUM: Selective Optical Assembly of Highly Uniform Nanoparticles by Doughnut-Shaped Beams
A highly efficient natural light-harvesting antenna has a ring-like structure consisting of dye molecules whose absorption band changes through selective evolutionary processes driven by external stimuli, i.e., sunlight depending on its territory and thermal fluctuations. Inspired by this fact, here, we experimentally and theoretically demonstrate the selective assembling of ring-like arrangeme...
متن کاملFDTD Analysis of Top-Hat Monopole Antennas Loaded with Radially Layered Dielectric
Top-hat monopole antennas loaded with radially layered dielectric are analyzed using the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method. Unlike the mode-matching method (MMM) (which was previously used for analyzing these antennas) the FDTD method enables us to study such structures accurately and easily. Using this method, results can be obtained in a wide frequency band by performing only one ti...
متن کاملShaped nondiffracting beams.
We demonstrate that nondiffracting beams can be generated with an arbitrary transverse shape. In particular, we show that the azimuthal complex modulation of the angular spectra of Helmholtz-Gauss wave fields constitutes a degree of freedom sufficient to tailor nondiffracting beams with an intensity pattern of choice.
